NOTICE OF RE-ADVERTISEMENT OF PLANNING PROPOSAL

Extractive Industry

The local government has received a revised application to use and develop the land below for the following purpose and public comments are invited.

Property:

Lot No. 150 (#792) Clydesdale Road, Grass Valley

Proposal:

The application is for: -

  • A ten-year Development Approval issued under the Shire of Northam Local Planning Scheme No. 6 for the crushing and screening of up to seventy-five thousand tonnes (75,000) of hard rock per annum; and
  • A ten-year Extractive Industry License to operate the Quarry, issued under the Shire of Northam Extractive Industries Amendment Local Law 2018.

Crushed material will be transported by single trailer trucks eastbound along Clydesdale Road for circa 2.8 kilometres, then 0.85km down Watson Road before turning right into the Great Eastern Highway and then onto the Perth Metropolitan Area.
