Council Services
The Shire of Northam aims to provide quality facilities and high level services to all our residents and ratepayers.
The Shire utilises rates payments and other income, such as government grants, to construct and maintain roads, footpaths, verges, parks, kerbing, drainage, reserves and community buildings. Furthermore, the Shire provides street lighting, two libraries, one in the town of Northam and one in the town of Wundowie, an adult day centre, landfill sites, a recreation centre in the town of Northam and a sports pavilion in the town of Bakers Hill, two swimming pools, one in the town of Northam and one in the town of Wundowie, a Telecentre in Wundowie, sporting ovals, street signs, dog, litter and parking control, and community events.
