The Shire of Northam has two libraries offering a wide range of services to the community, the Northam Region Library located in the town centre at 298 Fitzgerald Street and the Wundowie Resource Centre located on Boronia Avenue in Wundowie.

Members of the library now have free online access from home to Encyclopedia Britannica, Gale Health and Wellness, Australia/New Zealand Reference Centre, Business Source Elite, Consumer Health Elite and Novelist. Please ask library staff for more details.

The Shire of Northam welcomes all people from the community to join either library by simply filling out a membership application and agreement form. Proof of current address will also be needed. Accepted proof includes current driver's licence, concession card or a current utilities bill or rates notice.
