The Shire of Northam is currently in a RESTRICTED BURNING PERIOD. All burning activities require a permit and applications will only be accepted from primary producers (Agricultural) only. No single cubic meter burns accepted. For more information and to apply for a permit, click HERE.
The Shire of Northam in partnership with the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries is proud to deliver the KidSport program to our community.
KidSport is an initiative by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries aiming to make it possible for Western Australian Children to participate in community sport and recreation, no matter what their financial circumstances.
KidSport allows eligible youth aged 5 - 18 years to apply for financial assistance towards their club fees. The fees go directly from the Shire to the registered KidSport clubs participating in the project. If your club is not currently participating, encourage them to.
For Clubs to register for KidSport all they need to do to register by following the link to the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries Website and Register. www.dsr.wa.gov.au/clubs. Clubs will need to register by pressing the “Register your Club” button on the right hand side of the page.
Once your club is registered, parents/guardians can go to the Department of Sport and Recreation website to Register for KidSport.
