As part of the development of the Wundowie Community Plan, the Wundowie community has identified a need for a multi-purpose community and recreation hub within the townsite, driven by a desire to see more social and recreation activities occurring locally.

Extension to Retail Trading Hours

The Shire of Northam at its Ordinary Council Meeting held on 19 September 2018 resolved to advertise its intention to apply to Consumer Protection for a permanent extension to the retail trading hours for the Shire of Northam. This extension would allow for general retail shops within the Shire to trade on New Year’s Day. The Shire of Northam seeks community feedback for this proposal and requests submission to be forwarded to the Shire of Northam by 12 October 2018.
