Volunteering in Northam

Volunteers play such a vital role in the Shire of Northam community, from helping to protect us from fire, assisting us in emergencies, to preparing nutritious meals for our kids at the school canteen, to organising events and activities that make our Shire a vibrant and active community, fundraising for the local sports club and so much more.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer within the Shire of Northam or are seeking volunteers for your organisation a great place to start would be to contact the Act Local Wheatbelt

The Act Local Wheatbelt is a program that helps active citizens into volunteering and assists volunteer groups that already have volunteers but need some support.

Northam Town Team Movement

The Northam Town Team is a group not only responsible to deliver the Act Local Wheatbelt program, but is also a group of active citizens, AKA positive do-ers, AKA local legends that brainstorm ideas to make Northam WA a great place to live, work and play, and then set out to make them happen.

They usually have a few projects on the go at once!

Check out some of these projects at: NTT Events
