Wundowie to Northam Community Transport  Service

Wundowie to Northam (via Bakers Hill & Clackline) & Return

The Shire of Northam operates a community transport service from Wundowie to Northam, via Bakers Hill and Clackline. The service operates every 2nd & 4th Thursday of the month, excluding public holidays.

This service is designed for people in Wundowie, Bakers Hill and Clackline who do not have access to their own transport and who require services provided in Northam that are not available in these communities. The Shire of Northam encourages residents to support local business and service providers in their own community where ever possible. 

There is a cost of $5 or $2.50 with concession for a return journey. This is payable to the driver on the day.

Booking are essential as seats on the bus are limited.

Please note unfortunately the community bus is not equipped with wheelchair access. Passengers who require assistance when in Northam are encouraged to travel with a carer or support person.

All bookings are to be received by 12pm (midday) the day before travel.  

If no bookings have been received by 12pm the day before the bus service will not operate on that day.

Bookings can be made by calling the Shire of Northam Community Services on 6608 0234 or in person at the Wundowie Library. 

Service Timetable

2nd & 4th Thursday of the month (except public holidays)

Departure:

Wundowie - 9:05am from car park at Wundowie Community Hall

Bakers Hill - 9:20am, Hooper park

Clackline - 9:30am, Lockyer road, at intersection of Kimberley Road

Northam - 9:50am, please inform of your required destination when booking

Alternative pick-up locations can be made by arrangement. Please call the Shire of Northam or the Wundowie Library.

Return:

Northam - from 1.20pm, please inform driver of your pick up location

Clackline - 1:40pm

Bakers Hill - 1:50pm

Wundowie - 2:05pm
