Tracy will introduce the Doggone service, explain its functionality and the ways in which Doggone is delivering at a community and Council level within the New Zealand context.
Tracy Austin Founding Director of Doggone Limited Doggone is set to revolutionize the value associated with dog registration in New Zealand, through the use of Smart technology developed to help reunite lost dogs with their owners that runs in conjunction with local government dog licensing and animal management services.
In a world fast moving to Smart everything, Founder and CEO of Doggone, Tracy Austin, is acknowledged within the compliance sector as a disrupter, and has often been recognised for her innovation and business acumen in developing Doggone.
She was a 2018 finalist in the prestigious VodafoneXone Start-up Accelerator Programme, nominee for the 2018 and 2019 NEXT Woman of the Year Awards (business category), nominee for Westpac Champion Business Awards 2019 (Innovation Category) and SheEO nominee 2020.
Doggone has also been the recipient of multiple Callaghan Innovation R&D grants, New Zealand’s Government Agency that supports Hi-tech businesses. The ‘Report a wandering dog’ feature within the Doggone app has recently been accredited with registered patent status.
An entrepreneur at heart with a passion for creating IT based solutions to keep people, and the ones they love the most, safe, Tracy has a background in law, and was the co-founder of Christchurch-based advertising agency, Ideation.
The goal is to not only help every registered dog (and their owners) in times of need, but also to revolutionise the dog registration process as we know it, including providing vital and real-time intel to assist Animal Management officers at the front line and informing future planning and policy making.
