 If you have thought about becoming a Local Government Councillor but weren't sure what was involved or if it was for you, then you should register for a free webinar provided by the West Australian Local Government Association (WALGA).

 The webinar provides a quick view of important topics like:

  • An overview of Local Government
  • The Roles and Responsibilities of Council and Council Members
  • Behavioural expectations of Elected Members
  • The skills required to be a successful Councillor, and
  • The impact on home life

 The Shire of Northam would like to encourage the Ballardong Noongar people and all cultural groups to consider nominating to become an elected member.
