Eyes on the Street

Eyes on the Street is a former WA Police community safety initiative managed by the Crime Prevention and Community Liaison Unit. The program turns neighbours into the 'eyes and ears' of the police by educating residents how to identify possible criminal activities and suspicious behaviour ad encouraging them to report it to the Police.

The Shire of Northam is committed to ensuring continual improvements to community safety to achieve a vision for Northam to be a vibrant growing community that is safe, caring and inclusive. The Eyes in the Street initiative provides informal surveillance and contributes to an atmosphere of safety. The program reminds residents that community safety is not simply a matter of the Police, everyone has a role to play.  

Crime Stoppers enables you to report suspicious activity quickly and easily. Reporting to Crime Stoppers doesn't create an instant police response - it is an intelligence gathering role. If you need direct police attendance or response call 131 444. In an emergency call 000.
