Defibrillator Donated to Wundowie Community

Mr Bywaters was a driver of ‘Tail End Charlie’, the tractor which travelled through Australia in July 2017 for the 60th Anniversary of the Trek. The purpose of the journey was to raise funds and awareness for the Breast Cancer Foundation of WA and the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.

Consideration was given to their health and safety on the journey and as a result they purchased a defibrillator. At a recent Council meeting, Mr Bywaters advised that he now had no use for this defibrillator and would like to donate this to the Shire of Northam for the use of the Wundowie community.

Wundowie Hardware has been identified as an ideal location. On Friday 10th of November, Tail End Charlie representatives Kerry and Ron Bywaters, Shire of Northam representative Cr Terry Little and Hardware owner Peter Broad met at the Wundowie Hardware store for the official handover of the defibrillator.
