PPE/C and RATs for Community Service Organisations – Online Request Form
The Department of Communities (Communities) has launched an online request form to assist community sector organisations (CSOs) to replenish their supply of Personal Protective Equipment and Clothing (PPE/C) and Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs).
Eligible CSOs can request collection from a nearby distribution centre or a delivery may be arranged, e.g. if distance is an issue. The types of PPE/C available will depend on the types of services the CSO provides.

WA Council Of Social Services (WACOSS) Cleaning Reimbursement Scheme
WACOSS has been allocated $1m from the WA Government to support CSOs with additional cleaning costs incurred as the result of interaction with COVID-19 positive cases. Reimbursement can be backdated for CSOs who have previously incurred costs.
This funding is available on a reimbursement basis for any not-for-profit community service that holds a WA Government contract providing services to vulnerable community members, and is now live for CSOs right across Western Australia.
Visit WACOSS’ website to apply for the reimbursement
WACOSS Community Sector Surge Pool
The WACOSS Community Sector Surge Pool (CSSP) initiative will allow CSOs to temporarily share staff via secondments as a way to mitigate the furloughing of employees due to COVID-19, and prevent service disruptions.
If your organisation has capacity to temporarily continue delivering services with a leaner workforce, then please consider registering for the CSSP.
If you are already experiencing staff shortages due to furloughing, submit a request form so WACOSS can try to match you with suitable staff.
WACOSS encourages all of its members, and the community services sector at large, to register for the CSSP and ensure that we can all continue to deliver critical care services to the community. Register for the CSSP
Please feel free to contact the Department’s Sector Partnerships team if you have any additional questions or require assistance or information
