Northam Aquatic Facility will close this Sunday (29th May) and we plan to re-open on Saturday 24th September (first day of the school holidays).
Usage has dramatically dropped away now we are into the colder weather and the cost of keeping the pool open now outweighs patronage.
Wundowie pool is now closed and is likely to open October/November – based on some consultation with local user groups and weather temperature forecasts.
We have enjoyed an excellent season with:
• Australia Day pool party celebrations • School Holiday Pool Parties: Sponsored by PCYC in January & April • Northam Amateur Swimming Club Open (Swim Meet): Held on 6 February 2022, this had the highest competitor participation numbers the club has had in over a decade • Breakers Swimming club – swim Camp: (14 – 16 January 2022)• Waterpolo WA – Skills Camp: (10 – 13 January 2022) • Local school swimming carnivals • School reward days • Birthday parties
Next March we will host the Country Pennants in Northam.
