Aquatics
The Northam Aquatic Facility complex is located on Peel Terrace, Northam.
The facility consists of:
- 50 metre, 8 lane outdoor solar heated Olympic pool with ramp access
- 25 metre, 4 lane solar heated leisure pool with ramp access
- 4 slides
- Splash pad and children’s play area
- Outdoor showers
- Change rooms, showers, Unisex Accessible Change facilities
- Grandstand and viewing areas
- Multipurpose Room
- General shaded areas and BBQ’s
The pool hosts a number of swimming carnivals for both the sporting elite and local schools. In addition, in-term and vacation swimming lessons, water exercise programes and limited early morning swimming sessions are held at the pool.
The facility provides disabled access to the Olympic size pool, Leisure Pool and has extensive shading.
The Wundowie Swimming Pool is located on Wandoo Parade, Wundowie.
The facility includes a 6 lane 33m main pool and two play pools for infants and young children.
There are shaded areas for people to relax, shower and toilet facilities and a BBQ.
The Wundowie pool also hosts the VacSwim program for students and a range of birthdays and functions for local residents.
