The Shire of Northam’s Finance area encompasses all aspects of Council’s functions in the collection and payment of monies on behalf of the organisation.
Revenues/income received include rates, rubbish, facility hire fees (halls etc), licences (building, dogs etc), all other fees and charges (tipping, day care, planning development, sale of publications etc), grants (specific and non-specific), contributions and donations.
Council’s expenditure includes all payments to contractors, suppliers of materials, consultants, community groups and organisations, salaries and wages, utility charges, insurance premiums and debt management expenses.
