The Shire of Northam is one of 11 successful projects in WA to secure funding in the Club Night Lights Program (CNLP) through DLGSC, to upgrade lighting or install new floodlights.
The Bert Hawke Sport Precinct – Multi-Code Lighting Project, is an exciting concept to fully maximise the potential of the Bert Hawke Reserve. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 $𝟮𝟳𝟰.𝟵𝟲𝟴 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟯𝟬𝟬 𝗹𝘂𝘅 𝗟𝗘𝗗
The Shire of Northam is investing in the improvements of the Bert Hawke sporting precinct to capture the future growth expected in the area and provide improved facilities.
To have a second floodlit sports venue at Bert Hawke is an essential next step in providing more opportunities for our community to engage in sport and recreation. Attracting male and female users into adult sport is integral to their overall health and wellbeing whilst improving flexibility to participate in evening sports away from the heat.

For the Shire of Northam and the local region to capitalise on the growth of women’s sport, become more accessible as a sporting community for those with disabilities and be more inclusive we must have the facilities to cater for our needs.
