Is an integral part of the community of Northam,  our dedicated staff are constantly seeking  to improve and provide an ever increasing array of opportunites for our patrons, be it  our Better Beginnings Program, designed to develop the fundamental literacy skills of children  0 - 5 years, or various specialised information workshops on everything from fine arts to communication.

The libraries  RFID  system ensures our staff can  swiftly  process any of the 20,000 items on offer  from our stock of  books, magazines, DVD's, audio books or requests for inter-library loans.

Patrons are able to access both the Northam and  State Library Collections by clicking on the link below. To reserve a book you will need to enter your library card details.

To become a library member at either the Notham or Wundowie Library please bring two pieces of identification with you to the service counter and ask for a membership application.

The Swan Room

Our community resource room, is available to non profit groups free of charge and is ideal for book, clubs, writing groups, children's clubs or home educators groups; For more information on how to book this facility email pdolib@northam.wa.gov.au

House Bound Program

The library also provides a delivery service for patrons unable to get to the library for health reasons. To arrange for this service contact Clare on  either 9621 1600 or deplib@northam.wa.gov.au.

  1. Select Northam or Wundowie Library
  2. Enter your library card barcode number. e.g. CL420C0....84D
  3. Then your pin number (6401 for Northam, 6560 Wundowie).
  4. Now You Are Ready To Download.
  5. Call your library staff for help if you need further assistance.

Wundowie Library

Situated in the heritage listed garden townsite of Wundowie the library is the heart of the community providing services such as intertnet access, photocopying, faxing, historical information on the township along with a diverse collection of books, magazines, DVD's and audio books.  Patrons are also able to request resources thorugh out inter-library program.
