Located in the heart of the picturesque Avon Valley, Northam is home to a diverse range of tourist and heritage attractions, including hot air ballooning, cultural experiences, wildflowers, tours & trails, historic buildings, horse racing, white swans, and much, much more.
The Shire of Northam is currently in a RESTRICTED BURNING PERIOD until 12:00am on 15 May 2024. Please be aware that permits for burning are necessary until May 15, 2024. For more information and to apply for a permit, click HERE.

Each year the Community Citizen of the Year Awards allow us to recognise individuals and organisations who have made notable contribution within the Shire of Northam. It is these people who help make the Shire of Northam such a great place to live and visit.
The Auspire 2024 Community Citizen of the Year (COTY) Awards will be announced on Friday 26th January at the Northam Recreation Centre from 10am.
It is a fantastic opportunity to acknowledge the contribution of so many dedicated individuals within the Shire of Northam and highlight the importance of the work they do to better our community.
