Northam Clarke Street Pump Station Upgrade - Feb 2024 Update

To complete the next phase of work, the temporary bypass system which is currently installed over Peel Terrace Bridge needs to be removed. To safely remove the bypass system, Peel Terrace Bridge will be temporarily closed.

𝗣𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 & 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸

What to expect:
 
• To allow the safe removal of the bypass, some minor night work will take place on Clarke Street and Peel Terrace near the bridge on the evening of Thursday, 29th March 2024.
 
• During the night work, you may notice some vehicle activity, lights, and noise. We will minimise the noise wherever possible and will complete the work as quickly as possible.
 
• There will be a brief closure of the Peel Terrace Bridge on Friday 1st March 2024, between the hours of 9;30am and 12pm midday.
 
• Traffic management will be in place to safely direct the community to use the Avon Bridge while the Peel Terrace Bridge is closed. We ask the you please follow our signage, to help ensure the safety of our crew as well as the Northam and visiting community.
