Disposal of Abandoned Vehicles

The Shire of Northam is seeking to dispose of abandoned vehicles by public tender in accordance with the requirements of Section 3.58 of the Local Government Act 1995.

Tenders are invited and will be received until 4pm (AWST) 4^th July 2025.

Documentation can be obtained via the Shire of Northam’s website at https://www.northam.wa.gov.au/tenders/ or in person at 395 Fitzgerald St Northam.

Vehicles may be inspected at the Shires Impound Facility on Tuesday 17^th, Thursday 19^th, Tuesday 24^th and Thursday 26^th of June between 2-3pm.

Tenders shall be submitted electronically to the Shire of Northam at [email protected] or in person at 395 Fitzgerald St Northam. Tenders are to be clearly marked Abandoned Vehicle Tender.  Respondents must allow sufficient time for lodgement, including time that may be required to address any problem encountered with sending an email prior to the Closing Time.

Canvassing of Councillors or staff will disqualify tenderer. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. Late tenders and tenders submitted by facsimile will not be accepted.

The Shire is not bound to accept the highest tender and may decline to accept any tender. Late tenders and tenders submitted by facsimile will not be accepted.
