The playground features four slides, plenty of climbing areas, and a set of swings. The facility has plenty of open grass to enjoy a picnic, kick a ball, relax under the sun or observe the children and nature. It also allows children to play with sand and other sensory play equipment.

A pedestrian path takes you to the Suspension Bridge across the other side of the river and back to Apex Park via the Peel Terrace Bridge. The entire park is fenced to ensure a safe play environment.

Bernard Park is a community space designed for all ages. It features two fenced playgrounds for toddlers and older children, where they can swing, climb, slide, play together, or alone, and enjoy a large green open space perfect for ball games and outdoor activities. The park also offers a water play area and other facilities tailored for the whole family. Bernard Park also hosts events on its Soundshell, as well as the Lion's Community Markets, every first Saturday of each month. With cafes nearby and plenty of facilities, it’s a perfect place to play, relax, and connect with nature.
