UPDATING AND NEW NOMINATIONS FOR LOCAL HERITAGE SURVEY

The Shire of Northam is currently reviewing and updating the Local Heritage Survey of places in our district. The Shire is required to prepare and periodically review this Survey under the Heritage of Western Australia Act 1990.

The Local Heritage Survey is a document that lists and describes buildings and places that have played an important role in our history and/or are special because of their architectural style or association with an individual or the community.

The Shire is seeking your ideas and suggestions for places to include in the Local Heritage Survey.

To nominate a place for consideration, please complete either the “New Nomination” or “Additional Information for Existing Places” Application form and return to the Shire by the Wednesday 5th October 2022.

Following the review of the application forms that are received by the Shire considerations will be made and a draft updated Local Heritage Survey will be made available for public comment.
