Proposal to Dispose of Property by Lease

The Shire of Northam intends to lease out the following property to a charitable or community organisation for cropping and grazing purposes:

A portion of Reserve 44700  being Lot 29079 on Deposited Plan 190954 as contained in Certificate of Title  Volume LR3145 Folio 831 Trimmer Road, being approximately with 55.48 hectares of cropping and grazing land for the sum of $1000 per annum; and

A portion of Lot 291 Blackberry Close, Bakers Hill on Deposited Plan 94095 Volume 2141 Folio 536 being approximately 33 hectares of cropping land for the sum of $600 per annum. It should be noted that an operational extractive industry (gravel extraction) is located on the same property but not within the 33 hectares.

It is proposed that the lease for both properties be a maximum of three years. Consideration will be given to the community benefit of any submission received. The Lessees will be required to maintain firebreaks and fences.

Interested groups should apply in writing stating their organisation name, the required usage of the property and benefits to the local community in being granted the lease by 11 October 2019.
