The Shire of Northam wishes to advise that due to improved fire weather conditions the OPEN BURNING PERIOD is now in effect as of 12:00pm on 03 May 2024.

The Shire of Northam provides residents a Free Skip Bin Service per property, per financial year with limited bookings available (first in basis). This service provides a large 4.5 cubic metre bin delivered to each approved property for mixed domestic waste. This service is delivered by Avon Waste, on behalf of the Shire of Northam.
*Please note - businesses are not eligible for this free service.
A free skin bin can be booked with the Avon Waste on 9641 1318. or via this link.
The bins are delivered on Tuesday’s, and collected after a period of one week.
As there are a limited number of bins available and are allocated on a first-in, first served basis.
Each 4.5 cubic metre red bin will be placed on the verge immediately outside the requesting property. Exact placement of the bins is up to the discretion of the driver to ensure accessibility.
Please understand that these bins cannot be delivered onto your private property for safety reasons.
Please refrain from using bobcats or other machinery to load bulk bins.
