Season Opening Dates
• Northam Aquatic Facility (NAF): Opens Monday 22 September 2025.
• Bernard Park Water Playground: Opens Friday 26 September 2025, aligned with the start of school holidays.
• Wundowie Swimming Pool (WSP): Targeted to open Monday 3 November 2025, pending completion of pool shell preparation/painting and upgrades to concourse and change rooms.
What’s in store for 2025/26
• Swimming Lessons: Expanded programs including infant, toddler, preschool, and after-school Stage 1–10 lessons (NAF & WSP).
• Sensory-Friendly Swim Sessions: Calm, supportive swim times tailored for individuals and families who may benefit (NAF).
• Capital Investment: Pool blankets on the slide/beach entry pool to maintain warmer water temperatures (NAF).
• Renewal Works: Upgraded concourse, change rooms, pool shell, improved treatment system, and new rear safety fence (WSP).
• Aqua Classes: Opportunities under exploration—seeking qualified instructors. Regular Features & Community Benefits.
• Early morning lap swimming (NAF) supporting health, fitness, and accessibility.
• Slides and family water play (NAF) offering fun, family-friendly recreation.
• Australia Day Celebrations (NAF & WSP) and Wundowie Community Christmas Tree event (WSP) bringing the community together.
