The Shire of Northam is currently in a RESTRICTED BURNING PERIOD. All burning activities require a permit and applications will only be accepted from primary producers (Agricultural) only. No single cubic meter burns accepted. For more information and to apply for a permit, click HERE.

Proposed Disposal of Land pursuant to section 3.58(3) of the Local Government Act 1995
The Shire of Northam gives notice of its intent to dispose of the following land by lease in accordance with section 3.58(3) of the Local Government Act 1995:
The Shire of Northam intends to dispose of the abovementioned land to Ms Rebecca Davey for the purpose of providing childcare services. The lease is offered for a 12-month period with a renewal option of 12 months. The proposed disposal price is $10,000 per annum Ex GST. The Shire of Northam received a valuation in November 2020 which determined the market rent at $16,000 per annum Ex GST.
Written submissions in relation to the proposed disposal may be lodged until 5:00pm on 10 August 2022. Submissions should be marked “Lease – Creche, 44 Peel Terrace, Northam” and addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Shire of Northam, PO Box 613, Northam, WA 6401 or emailed to: [email protected].
