The Shire of Northam is currently in a RESTRICTED BURNING PERIOD. All burning activities require a permit and applications will only be accepted from primary producers (Agricultural) only. No single cubic meter burns accepted. For more information and to apply for a permit, click HERE.
The Northam Visitor Centre is located at 2 Grey Street in Northam on the banks of the Avon River.
The friendly staff at the Visitor Centre will be able to offer advice on places to see, stay and eat while you are in the area, information on heritage sites and the places of interest that you may enjoy during your stay.
The Centre includes an interpretive space featuring the “Sense of Place” Migrant Exhibition and Avon Valley Arts Society Exhibition. While you are at the Centre you will also have the opportunity to browse through a wide range of local produce and artwork, and a great selection of souvenirs and gifts to remember your time in Northam. Free Wifi is also available at the centre.
Visit Northam via the Avonlink train, giving you the opportunity to relax and take in the beautiful scenery along the way. With free Wi-Fi on board, this is the perfect way to round off your trip to Northam. Tickets are available online, at train stations, or at the Northam Visitor Centre. You can also buy your tickets on the train to make your trip even easier!
