Located in the heart of the picturesque Avon Valley, Northam is home to a diverse range of tourist and heritage attractions, including hot air ballooning, cultural experiences, wildflowers, tours & trails, historic buildings, horse racing, white swans, and much, much more.
The Shire of Northam is currently in a RESTRICTED BURNING PERIOD until 12:00am on 15 May 2024. Please be aware that permits for burning are necessary until May 15, 2024. For more information and to apply for a permit, click HERE.

The Shire of Northam is currently in the process of trying to restore access to the Inkpen Waste Facility to previous service levels.
Until recently, the site was open from 2pm-5pm on weekdays (excluding public holidays and weekends). Before we put measures in place to restore these services, we'd like your feedback on what times you would like to see the facility open moving forward.
