Solid Futures Aboriginal Trainee Program

The Solid Futures Aboriginal traineeship program gives young Aboriginal people formal training, paid employment and support to complete a Certificate III in Government, and helps agencies to build diverse, talented and inclusive workforces.
The program is run in metropolitan and regional areas each year by matching interested host agencies with trainees and providing support throughout the traineeship, and this year the Shire of Northam is looking for enthusiastic young people to take part in the program.

Examples of available traineeships include Civil Construction, Parks & Gardens, Ranger Services and administration.

Applications for the 2023 intake are now open and close on Monday 3 October 2022.
