Disbanding of the Local Business Support Committee
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Shire of Northam established a small business support grant scheme, providing financial assistance to local businesses struggling to operate or remain open during the last few months. The scheme has proven very successful, having provided in excess of $120,000 in grant funding to local small businesses, helping them through this challenging period. However, with the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, Council has resolved to cease offering this funding stream, effective 2 October 2020.
Any outstanding applications for the local business support grant scheme must be submitted to the Shire of Northam Community Services Team by no later than close of business on 25 September 2020.
The final Local Business Support Committee meeting will be held at 4pm on 8 October 2020 in the Council Chambers, 395 Fitzgerald Street.
To submit an application, or for more information, please contact Michelle Blackhurst via email at [email protected] or phone on (08) 6608 0233.
