NEW Candidate Information Session
Are you passionate and eager for change? Do you care about your community and enjoy working with people who have a desire to make a difference?
Have your say and stand for Council at the next Local Government Election?
You can nominate to become a candidate if you are:
• 18 or older
• enrolled to vote
• a resident or ratepayer of the council area, or an occupier of rateable land in the area.
Want to know more? The Shire of Northam is hosting a Candidate Information Session Webinar presented by the Western Australian Government Association (WALGA) where you can learn more about your Council and how you can make a difference by standing for election as a Councillor.

Nominations for the position of Councillor open 2 September 2021 and close at 4.00pm, 9 September 2021.
