Public Notice - Footpath Renewals

The Shire of Northam wishes to advise that the Shire will be undertaking footpath renewal works to improve pedestrian safety and universal access at the following locations:

• Mudalla Way 0- 100

• Chidlow Street West SLK 2390-2690

• East Street SLK 410-510

• Peel Terrace SLK 150-210

• Beavis Place SLK 0-90

• Forrest Street SLK 730-980

• Wellington Street SLK 190-270

These network additions have been identified and prioritised to improve linkages to key destinations such as:

• Regional centres

• Schools and pre-schools/day-care

• Central Business District

• Recreation & leisure locations

• Medical and essential services

• Community Bus Stops

The primary focus will be improving liveability, inclusivity and accessibility for people of all abilities. It is anticipated that the footpath renewal works will commence in November 2023.

Works of this nature may cause some inconvenience to pedestrians and road users in the vicinity, however every effort will be made to ensure disturbances are kept to a minimum.
