The Shire of Northam is currently in a RESTRICTED BURNING PERIOD. All burning activities require a permit and applications will only be accepted from primary producers (Agricultural) only. No single cubic meter burns accepted. For more information and to apply for a permit, click HERE.

Notice is hereby given for public information and comment that the Shire of Northam has received an application to amend the Shire of Northam Local Planning Scheme No. 6 for the purpose of:
Amending the coding of Lot 100 (No. 54) Byfield Street, Northam from Residential R15 to Residential R20 to facilitate future residential development.
Plans and documents setting out and explaining the scheme amendment have been published in the following manner:
Submissions on the planning scheme amendment may be lodged in writing and should include the amendment number, the name and address of the person making the submission, the property affected and details of the submission and lodged with the undersigned on or before close of business on the 17th day of February 2023. Please quote the following reference number: 3.1.10.18 / A10217.
