Extractive Industry
The local government has received an application to use and develop land for the following purpose and public comments are invited.

Proposal:
The application is for: -
- A ten-year Development Approval issued under the Shire of Northam Local Planning Scheme No. 6 for the crushing and screening of up to one hundred and fifty thousand tonnes (150,000) of hard rock per annum; and
- A ten-year Extractive Industry License to operate the Quarry, issued under the Shire of Northam Extractive Industries Local Law 2008.
Crushed material will be transported by single and double trailer trucks.
The advertising period for the proposal has been extended to those advertised in the vicinity of the proposal and those along Clydesdale and Watson Road. The proposal is being advertised in addition to residents of Grass Valley Townsite as a result of a modification to the proposed transport route, which is now proposed via Clydesdale Road, Jennapullin Road and Vivian Street onto Great Eastern Highway to the Perth Metropolitan Region. A revised Traffic Impact Statement is provided below.

Comments on the proposal may be submitted to the local government in writing on or before 5:00pm on Monday, 10th September 2018.
