You asked for...Safer cycling
You asked for more cycle and walk trails, and improved outdoor amenities to allow both locals and visitors to enjoy the natural environment.
We have responded by undertaking extensive research into our existing trails and areas for improvement, and have committed to producing a trails masterplan which will accommodate for such activities, as well as an annual review of the Northam Bike Plan. We have also committed to providing improved activation facilities and a dual use path at Mount Ommanney.
Further to the above, we have also committed in the next financial year to providing more well-planned signage and end of trip facilities for bikes, with consideration for expected growth in e-ridables encompassing secure parking, electronic charging stations etc.
