Waste Facility Passes

Information Pamphlet

Waste Facility Passes are available from the gatehouse entrance of both Waste Management Facilities. Proof of residential address and identification is required to obtain an annual pass, which runs on the rates year.

The Waste Facility Pass allows residents free general domestic waste disposals (in accordance to whether they receive a kerbside collection) and unlimited clean green waste disposals per year. Cars, utilities, vans and trailers bringing waste into the sites must not exceed 1.8 m x 1.2 m x 0.6 m.

All loads greater in size will incur the standard waste disposal fees.

Please note costs will apply for the disposal of some wastes including asbestos, tyres, more than 30L of waste oil, animal bodies, commercial waste, and residential waste loads exceeding 1.8 m x 1.2 m x 0.6 m.

All wastes that have a charge associated with their disposal must be paid for at the gatehouse as per the Shire's adopted Fees & Charges.

Which pass do I get?

If you receive a standard kerbside collection service, then you will be charged an annual general waste and recycling collection fee, which includes:

  • Weekly general waste kerbside collection service
  • Fortnightly recycling kerbside collection service
  • Unlimited access to the Shire’s waste facilities for disposal of recyclables, including e-waste, green waste and metal
  • 10 FREE general waste or mattress disposal passes;
  • 1 skip bin per year (additional skips are available for an extra fee);
  • Maintenance of existing waste facilities;
  • Community waste services; and
  • Waste education programs.

If you reside outside the kerbside collection area, you will now be charged an annual fee (as per your rates notice) to access the Shire’s waste facilities and services, which includes:

  • Unlimited access to the Shire’s waste facilities for disposal of recyclables, including e-waste, green waste, and metal;
  • 26 FREE general waste or mattress disposal passes;
  • 1 skip bin per year (additional skips are available for an extra fee);
  • Maintenance of existing waste facilities;
  • Community waste services; and
  • Waste education programs.

Residents who do not pay the relevant waste services charges will not be able to access the Shire’s waste services and will be charged as commercial customers when visiting either facility.
