Special Council Meeting 27 April 2022

A Special Meeting of Council has been convened by the Shire President which will take place by electronic means in accordance with Regulation 14D and 14E of the Local Government (Administration) Regulations 1996.

Summary of decisions:

Agenda item Decision
13.2 - Major Event Proposal - Northam

That Council;

  1. Authorises the Chief Executive Officer to continue negotiations to secure a round of the 2022 World Air Race.
  2. Acknowledges that approximately $50,000 in staff project management time will be allocated to the event over the 2021/22 & 2022/23 financial years.

 

That Council amend the 2021/22 Annual Budget to include $250,000 for the 2022 World Air Race event.

 

That Council withhold the decisions relating to the World Air Race from the public until the WA Government make a determination to support the event, or not.
13.1 - RFQ 03 of 2022 Spencers Brook Road 

That Council:

  1. Award Request for Quotation 3 of 2022 - Spencers Brook Road SLK 0.00-23.63 for $851,583.88 (ex GST) to WA Stabilisation Pty Ltd
  2. Authorise the Chief Executive Officer to make minor variations (up to an additional 10%) to the awarded price prior to entering a contract with WA Stabilisation Pty Ltd.
