The Shire of Northam would like to advise that hazard reduction burning will be taking place within the Northam Town site over the coming weeks as the local Volunteer Fire & Rescue Service and the Volunteer Bush Fire Brigades prepare the community for the upcoming bush fire season.
Neighbouring properties directly adjoining the property will be door knocked immediately prior to ignition. Brigades are conducting these burns in an effort to minimise the threat to the community from fire.
Members of the public are encouraged to check the Emergency WA website for further information, should there be any concerns please contact the Community Emergency Services Manager on 0458 08 08 18
