Located in the heart of the picturesque Avon Valley, Northam is home to a diverse range of tourist and heritage attractions, including hot air ballooning, cultural experiences, wildflowers, tours & trails, historic buildings, horse racing, white swans, and much, much more.
The Shire of Northam is currently in a RESTRICTED BURNING PERIOD until 12:00am on 15 May 2024. Please be aware that permits for burning are necessary until May 15, 2024. For more information and to apply for a permit, click HERE.

The Shire of Northam wishes to advise that works on Lyon Street, Markey Street, Springfield Roads Northam will commence 22 July 2021. Road reconstruction and resurfacing will be conducted.
Additionally the roads will be closed;
There will be escorted access for local traffic during this period. Please observe traffic management measures on site and drive to conditions.
Work is subject to weather permitting.
