The Shire of Northam is currently in a PROHIBITED BURNING PERIOD as of 18th November 2023. All burning is strictly not allowed and all signs of smoke/fire should be reported to 000 immediately. For more information please click HERE.

The Shire of Northam wishes to advise that in consultation with the Volunteer Bush Fire Control Officers,
The PROHIBITED BURNING PERIOD will be brought forward by one (1) week and will start on the 25th Nov 2019.
Permits are available through our website until 17th November 2019 to members of the public.
Brigades will be completing any last remaining hazard reduction burns between 18th & 24th of Nov as they prepare for the coming Bush Fire Season.
All signs of fire after the 25th should be reported to 000.
