Located in the heart of the picturesque Avon Valley, Northam is home to a diverse range of tourist and heritage attractions, including hot air ballooning, cultural experiences, wildflowers, tours & trails, historic buildings, horse racing, white swans, and much, much more.
The Shire of Northam is currently in a RESTRICTED BURNING PERIOD until 12:00am on 15 May 2024. Please be aware that permits for burning are necessary until May 15, 2024. For more information and to apply for a permit, click HERE.

The Shire of Northam wishes to advise that due to the upcoming Elevate Festival on Saturday 6 May 2023, there is expected to be extra traffic on the roads and verges surrounding the Henry Street Oval.
An event of this nature may cause some disruption to road users in the vicinity. An approved Traffic Management Plan (TMP) will be in place during this period. Please observe traffic management measures on site and drive to conditions.
