In recent weeks, necessary improvement works have been in progress on Forrest Street to improve the safety of the area due to a history of pedestrian, overtake-cut in and right-angle crashes relating to roadside parking. This project has been made possible by blackspot funding, and will include a red asphalt, line marked median and isolated raised traffic islands to address these accident types. The raised traffic islands have been situated to ensure access into properties remains unrestricted.Works are due to finish within the next week. We thank you for your patience while we make these important improvements for community safety.
